Dr. Deepa with 1st Rank in all studies did her Ph.D. in Fiber Optics from IIT Bombay. Received Young Faculty Recognition Award of IIT Madras. She is the Associate Editor for Advances in Optics and Photonics (OSA Journal), Senior Member OSA, AVP- Women in Photonics, IEEE Photonics Society and is a researcher in Photonics, Nonlinear Optics, Fiber Lasers and Optical Signal Processing. Got many referenced journal publications, contributed to book chapters and leads many sponsored projects; currently works as Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, IITMadras.
